After Breakfast, pick up form your Marrakech riad or hotel by our driver to go on a day tour to the Ourika Valley which is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved valleys in Morocco, a lush oasis of vegetation in the foothills of the magnificent Atlas Mountains. Leave Marrakech behind as you join our one day trip to Ourika Valley, which we recommended all year round both in summer to escape from the heat of Marrakech and winter months if you looking to get closer the sown peaks of the High Atlas Mountains.
Ourika valley day trip is the shortest day tour from Marrakech, it is only 1h30 drive through the green orchards of the Haouz plain. En route you may stop at Tnin Ourika to visit an aromatic garden where Moroccan bio saffron is cultivated or continue the drive around the valley enjoying views of high green terraces, surrounding snowy Atlas peaks, rocky village foothills, and Berber traditional houses. Enjoy a local food at one of the local restaurants such as Beef or lamb Tagine with vegetables, kebab or Berber omelet.
Ourika valley is a place much appreciated for walking and resting that spreads between the first foothills of the Atlas Mountains and extending along the river. Climb the waterfalls with a local guide, enjoy vistas, running streams if it is Monday you may visit the weekly market of the area where Berber Handicrafts are manufactured including lanterns, carpets and painted and carved furniture that you find in Marrakech souks.
